Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about working with White Rook.

Pricing & Payments

How does your Model-First Pricing work?

Unlike traditional studios that charge a flat fee per image, we separate the cost of 3D modeling from the cost of rendering. You pay a base price to build the 3D model and environment (which includes your first render). Any additional camera angles from that same scene cost significantly less (usually €45-€50) because the heavy lifting is already done.

What are your payment terms?

For standard projects, we require a 50% deposit to begin work, with the remaining 50% due upon final approval before the delivery of high-resolution, unwatermarked files. For large-scale developments, we can structure milestone-based payments.

Process & Revisions

How many revisions are included?

Every project includes three (3) comprehensive revision rounds at no additional cost. This is more generous than the industry standard of 1-2 rounds. A revision round is consumed when you submit a consolidated list of feedback. For full details, please see our Revision & Rework Policy.

What is the difference between a revision and a scope change?

A revision is a modification to an existing deliverable (e.g., changing wall color, moving a sofa, adjusting lighting). A scope change alters the original brief or requires significant new modeling (e.g., changing the architectural design of the building, adding a new room). Scope changes are quoted separately and do not consume your included revision rounds.

What files do I need to provide to start a project?

For architectural projects, we need CAD files (DWG), PDF floor plans/elevations, or a 3D model (SketchUp, Revit, Rhino) if you have one. We also need a material schedule and any mood boards or reference images for the interior design. For product modeling, we need engineering files (STEP, IGES) or detailed technical drawings with dimensions.

Delivery & Ownership

What is the typical turnaround time?

Turnaround times depend on project complexity. A standard interior or exterior render typically takes 5-7 business days for the first draft. Product modeling can take 3-5 days. We will provide a specific timeline with your custom quote.

Do I own the final 3D model?

You own the final rendered images and animations in perpetuity for any commercial use. The source 3D scene files (.max, .blend, etc.) remain the intellectual property of White Rook DOO unless a source file buyout is explicitly negotiated in your contract.
