Revision & Rework Policy
Effective Date: March 2026 | Version: 1.0
1. Overview
White Rook is committed to delivering exceptional 3D visualization work that meets and exceeds client expectations. This policy establishes clear, fair guidelines for project feedback, revisions, and scope changes. It is designed to protect both the client's investment and our production efficiency.
Our policy is more generous than the industry standard. Where most 3D visualization studios include only 1–2 revision rounds, White Rook includes three (3) revision rounds at no additional cost on every project. We believe this gives clients the confidence to refine their vision without worrying about hidden fees.
2. Definitions
Understanding the distinction between a revision and a scope change is critical to this policy. These are fundamentally different types of requests with different cost implications.
2.1 Revision
A revision is a modification to an existing deliverable that does not alter the original project brief, scope, or complexity. Revisions refine what has already been produced.
- Materials & Colors: Changing wall color, floor material, countertop finish, fabric texture.
- Lighting: Adjusting brightness, warmth, time of day within the same scene setup.
- Camera: Minor angle adjustment, height change, focal length tweak.
- Staging & Furniture: Swapping a sofa model, changing cushion color, repositioning furniture within the same room.
2.2 Scope Change
A scope change is a request that alters the original project brief, adds new deliverables, or requires significant rework of the 3D model beyond what was originally agreed upon. Scope changes are quoted separately and do not consume revision rounds.
- Architectural Changes: Modifying the building design, changing room layouts, adding/removing walls or windows.
- New Deliverables: Adding rooms, views, or camera angles not in the original brief.
- Scene Overhaul: Changing from daytime to nighttime scene, switching from summer to winter.
- Style Replacement: Complete re-staging with a different interior design style (e.g., modern to rustic).
3. Included Revision Rounds
Every White Rook project includes three (3) revision rounds at no additional cost. This applies to all service categories.
3.1 Consolidation Rule
Each revision round is an opportunity to submit all desired changes at once. Clients are encouraged to consolidate feedback into a single, comprehensive list per round rather than submitting changes incrementally. A revision round is consumed when feedback is submitted, regardless of the number of individual changes within that round.
3.2 Feedback Window
Clients have 5 business days from the delivery of each milestone to submit their revision feedback. If no feedback is received within this window, the deliverable is considered approved.
4. Additional Revisions
After the three included revision rounds are exhausted, additional revisions are billed at a transparent rate of 15% of the original deliverable price per round. For animation, extra revisions are billed at €8 per second of affected footage.
No paid revision work begins without the client's explicit written approval of the additional cost.
5. Scope Changes
Scope changes are priced according to White Rook's standard Model-First Pricing. Because the original model already exists, scope changes benefit from the same incremental pricing logic — the client pays only for the additional work required, not for rebuilding what already exists.
Scope changes are treated as new line items and do not consume your existing revision rounds.
